Restaurant - Genki

Location: on the corner south of the San-A in Hamby town. There is on-site parking.
Genki has a great 650Y lunch set which changes from day to day. The specials are often fried something or other, which comes with a small salad, a taste of sashimi, plenty of rice, and another little taste sensation, along with a choice of coffee or tea.
Weekday nights drinks are half price. There is an extensive menu in English listing the typical izakaya fare and some surprises. We have found the food here to be reliably tasty and good value.
The women's toilet is charming, with a zen garden-esque floor and a warmed toilet seat.
