Location: Ishikawa city; if going north on 329, take the 329 bypass road, which goes off to the left. At the intersection with the 6, turn right and go about half a km, you'll see a HotSpar and a green and white oval sign pointing to the left. Travel a couple blocks, and turn left at the light green apartment block called Hill House. There is parking.
This place was written up in Okinawa Living and got a glowing report, so we had to try it. We were impressed. The dining room is tasteful, the view over Ishikawa and the Pacific is impressive, and the dim sum is fantastic. For 2200Y at lunch (11:30-3p) you do all-you-can-eat, picking your items off the English-language menu. Ignore the a la carte prices, they don't apply to you. There are about 4 "appetizers," 2 soups, multiple congee dishes, at least 12 different dumplings, about 6 "hot meals" and 10 or so desserts. You just keep calling the waitstaff over when you want to order more. The tea is included and bottomless. We sat there for two very pleasant hours. The food is delicate, complex, attractive, and fresh. The chef should be proud. On a weekday, the dining room was full. Reservations can be made at 098-965-1000. Dinner offers a bigger selection but a steeper price tag of 4000Y (probably plus 10% service charge = 4400).
